Brain Booster Tips 6 – 8

Meditate. It calms your mind and increases blood flow to the front decision making part of the brain. The word meditate is in Psalms sixteen times. Joshua meditated on the Book of the Law so he would be prosperous and successful. Joshua 1:8. Philippians 4:8 tells us “whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

Get control of your mind.  2 Corinthians 10:5 tells us to “take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” What makes you sad, mad, nervous, and out of control? Write down your automatic negative thoughts.  Ask if it is true and then stop letting that thought control you. Read and listen to the positive thoughts from the Bible and other sources. If you are a Christian you can ask God to help you. Be grateful and be thankful for the good things in your life. Think and write 5 things that you are thankful for daily.

Help someone else by being a good role model and a good example. This will motivate you to have a happier and healthier brain. Your success influences those around you. If I am not healthy and happy, I have no influence or credibility. Now take it a step further and write a positive note or email to someone else. Do it every day. It helps you to focus on the positive and you will make someone else’s day and life better.
