Brain Booster Tips 2-5

Focus on your motivation to be healthier, smarter and happier every day. This will activate the part of your brain that makes better decisions – the prefrontal cortex that is the rational part of your brain. Your pleasure center (inner child) will tell you it is O.K. to have more cookies or another bowl of ice cream. It needs the firm, yet kind adult supervision that comes from the rational prefrontal cortex.

Exercise – it is the fountain of youth. It brings blood and oxygen into your brain and makes you happier and better able to make good decisions. Walk like you’re late and do strength training. More muscle means less fat.

Journal – it keeps you accountable and on track. Journal the foods that you eat every day. Were they healthy?  Also list 5 things that you are grateful for every day.
